The Nike+ Sports Band is great. It really makes walking/running fun. Nike did a great job with the web site portion of it (although it's all in Flash). Still, I'd highly recommend it.
Oh, and don't worry about getting the Nike+ shoes - you can get a cheap holder that attaches on your shoes for around $10 that works just as good.
