It's about the ride. Getting out away from cars and lights and smells and noise. I get a little bit of that every day on my way to work (I have an 8-mile commute, up to 3 miles of which can be off the grid). I get to ride with the deer! There's a price, of course, and that's the time I spend cooped up in my cubicle. But that's not where the real world is.
This picture is of my mother enjoying a sauna at our cabin on Lake Vermillion. A sweaty sauna followed by a plunge in the icy lake is one of the ways I've found to get uncooped. See, I've always been more of a cerebral person than a physical one. I don't have a lot of kinesthetic intelligence. I am more in touch with my sense of logic than my sense of feeling. Suffice it to...
VIEW OF THE TETONS FROM JACKSON LAKEThis was my view from dinner one night on a camping trip to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone. The picture does the real life view little justice, but captures the moment for my memory and others to enjoy. What better than my 3 favorite things- my boyfriend, my dog, and such majestic mountains?!
