When Worlds of Awesome Collide: Chris Davenport Searches For Extreme Skiing in a Bentley

Bentley is typically thought of strictly as an ultra-luxury brand, rivaled only by its few competitors like Rolls Royce and Maybach. But unlike those competitors, Bentley has a flair for sporty performance. Its Continental Supersports Convertible packs 621 horsepower, hits 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and tops out at 202 mph.

Thanks to standard AWD systems, Bentleys are capable in the winter months, too. In fact, the Continental Supersports ISR Convertible actually owns the world ice speed record at 199.83 mph.

Professional big mountain skier Chris Davenport didn't get to enjoy the limited edition ISR model, but I doubt he was complaining when touring Colorado's San Juan Mountains in a slightly lesser Bentley AWD convertible - the Continental GTC. And it's not just in a fluffy ad piece, either - Davenport actually travels to a remote part of Colorado for some big mountain turns. I doubt the $213,000 car is Davenport's ski vehicle of choice when he's not filming for Bentley, but the combination of luxury, deep snow and jagged mountains is something that you usually have to go to a five-star Aspen hotel for.

This video makes for an awesome combination of car and ski porn (especially if you happen to love both exotic cars and skiing, like I do).
