Cooped Up? Get Uncooped.

Out of the heart of the raw, massive San Juan mountains in Silverton, CO, Venture Snowboards is a snowboard venture (get it!) that already does a thing or two for board-savvy greenies. It produces boards with Forest Stewardship Council certified wood cores, runs entirely on wind power and participates in the 1% For the Planet Program.

Now the CO-homegrown ride manufacturer is bringing that philosophy a little closer to home. It recently announced a partnership with Protect Our Winters (POW), Jeremy Jones' organization dedicated to reversing global warming and keeping the snow pouring down on the mountains. Last year, Venture held a contest for the best design and Canadian artist Julie Boake won with the design you see upstairs.

Not only will a portion of the proceeds for the POW boards go to POW, but the graphic is available on any of Venture's boards. And it's pretty damn nice. So, get the Venture board you want anyway (they tend to win some awards), deck it out in a killer graphic and do your part in protecting Earth (and freshies). Done.
