Simple But Effective: Water Bottles With Key/Money Storage

created at: 07/09/2010

You know when you roll up to the trail head, lock up the car and try to stuff your keys/wallet into a pocket only to realize that your trail running shorts or Lycra bike tights don't have any pockets to use? It's pretty annoying, isn't it? Sure, maybe you have a three-pocket bike jersey or can throw your money in a sock, but, if not, it can be an issue.

The new Avex Kangaroo water bottle quashes that issue. It's called a Kangaroo because it has a special, little storage pouch--you can't quite fit a joey in it, but you can use it to hold your keys, ID and money. The bottles also feature an Autoseal lid that you press to open for drinking and let go to seal back up.

If you lug hydration via bottle rather than pack, this could be a solution for you. It only costs $18, about the same as any other BPA-free water bottle. The Kangaroo is launching at Outdoor Retailer later this summer.
