I've long wanted to combine mountain biking and snowboarding into one day of outdoor sport fun. When I imagined doing it, however, I didn't really imagine doing it as part of one seamless trip. It was more of spend half a day at the resort and the other half biking a favorite trail or two.
I'm now officially jealous of Greg Hill. Besides the fact that he's a sponsored big-mountain skier, he recently had an epic trip that combined some early-season mountain biking with some late-season backcountry skiing. The trip was on Mt. Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies (12,970 feet) for a descent down its north face.
Hill kindly put together some video footage of the trip as well as some writing. If you love mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding and big-mountain/glacier video shots as much as I do, be sure to hit play. Check out the GregHillEnterprises channel on YouTube for more great footage.
