Back when I posted the Vessel concept last spring, I didn't realize a product like it actually exists. Similar to the Vessel, the JakPak, which was launched last year, combines a waterproof jacket, solo mini-tent and sleeping bag into one garment/piece of gear (the Vessel replaced the sleeping bag with a backpack).
Originally aimed solely for emergency use, the JakPak's creator--Active Engineering LLC--has redesigned the unique offering to push it into the recreational market.

Each JakPak includes a waterproof, breathable jacket with pit zippers and a detachable, bivy-style tent with integrated sleeping bag. The sleeping bag folds down from the lower part of the jacket and the tent pops out of the back. The company claims a "lightweight, all-season design", though no weight info is offered. Features like taped seams and urethane coating help keep water out.
Other features include interior suspenders for weight distribution, integrated insect netting and integrated collar-hood with visor--we'll let the reader have the fun of deciding which piece of gear each feature is attached to.
The JakPak comes in sizes Small to XS to XL and carries a retail price of $249. According to the press release, it'll hit the market in March, but it appears to be available from the JakPak website. Check out the website for more info.
