We see a lot of pretty awesome campers here at Uncooped, but the overwhelming majority are designed for motor-power only. Making the camper a little bit greener, a DIYer named Paul built this bike trailer and tested it out during Burning Man. Weighing around 100 pounds, the bike-towed trailer has nearly all the conveniences of a regular trailer and is completely self-sufficient. The camper uses a solar oven for cooking, solar water heater for washing and urinal funnel for a quick number one (ladies might need to use in conjunction with a Go Girl). The seat reclines back into horizontal position for sleeping. I'm not sure what it's like to tow a 100-pound trailer around on your bike, though I don't think I'd want to do it over any type of mountain pass or steep grade, but it sure looks like a pretty functional ride for bike touring and other bike-based adventures. Ingenious! Especially the reclining seat bit. He should build and market them to bikers of the motor variety.
