2009 Holiday Gift Guide for the Outdoorsman (and Woman)

The Cooper Cabin put together a sweet holiday 2009 gift guide for all the outdoorsmen and women on your shopping list. Some of the items that caught my eye were the Topeak Alien III Mini Folding Bicycle Tool ($39.13), picture above. The little bugger has 25 functions, which is more than double the functions of Leatherman's most well-equipped multi-tool for bicyclists.

The very yellow Pelican 1050 Micro-Case ($14.95) is the perfect way to keep your iPod, GPS, phone, etc. dry. Not only is the Pelican waterproof, it's padded and 'floatable' too.

I'm liking the Cateye CC-RD300W Strada Wireless Bicycle Computer. For only $38.99, it offers everything you'd expect in a bike computer PLUS a big, easy-to-read screen.

And my favorite on the list? That would have to be the U.S. Issue Mil-Spec Tritium Illuminated Aluminum Military Lensatic Marching Compass ($72.89). It's not only readable in total darkness (awesome!), the compass has a sapphire bearing, is accurate to withing +/- 2 mils, and is cased in waterproof cast aluminum...among a bunch of other wonky stuff that I don't understand but gets me jazzed. Oh, and it's made in the USA. Hooah!
