Years ago, my husband and a work-friend built a hovercraft. Considering it weighed a ton (they made it out of plywood) they were able to get airborne and move a few inches. Not only is the Air Board prettier (and probably safer) than their homemade hovercraft, it can actually go--up to 15mph as a matter of fact. You can have one of your own for $14k.
