Monowalker Hiking Trailer: Backpacking Without a Backpack

It might just be crazy enough to work-instead of carrying a load of gear on your back via the traditional method (from which backpacking gets its name), the Monowalker Hiking Trailer allows you to drag it behind you.

The Monowalker boasts a 100lb. load capacity on its ash frame as well as a shoulder and hip belt system that cuts the weight in half. It also sports a Schwalbe disc braking system and the ability to convert to a backpack or bike trailer when necessary. At roughly $1,000, this thing isn't cheap, but if you're looking for a way to hustle more gear into the wild or you love hiking but hate being weighed down by a pack, this might be just the thing.

Check it out at Monowalker.com.
