It's a long name, but trust me, it's worth it.
Every year, Alberta's Banff Centre puts on their Mountain Film Festival, which brings together some of the greatest professional and amateur outdoors films together for a week of excellence. The films showcase the best of the outdoors from skiing and snowboarding to kayaking, climbing and cycling. There's a bit of everything; I'm pretty sure I saw a unicycle or two in there.
For those who can't make it to Banff National Park to enjoy the fastivites, the Banff Mountain Film Festival sports a world tour which brings a selection of the best of the festival to cities around the world.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour just rolled through my town this month and it was outstanding. A huge rambunctious crowd of outdoors enthusaists, amazing films, and gear giveaways made for a great evening.
They're making their way all over the United States, so wherever you live, chances are there's going to be one in your neck of the woods. You don't want to miss it.
Here's a link to the tour schedule.

Banff would be great...I bet you could write off the whole trip.
I'm working on the writeoff potential of hitting up SLC this August-I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to to the OR, whether it'd be cheaper to drive or fly and whatnot.
I wonder what Hunter S. Thompson would do...
Somehow I missed this when it came through out here. Balls. I gotta' try and get to Banff for the real deal one year--great excuse to get back there. How much of that do you figure we could write off?
