About Me

I'm just a hiker and SAR girl in Flagstaff, Arizona, married to the most wonderful, mustached man in the world. We met in 1995 while living and working on Grand Canyon's snowed-in North Rim for the winter.

Working at and in the Canyon was an awesome experience, but the best time I've ever had was hiking the Appalachian Trail, and I'm really missing how simple life was out there. Next long trek on the horizon is the PCT, but that's probably a year or two away. In the meantime, lots of shorter adventures--like section-hiking the Colorado Trail--and too many day-trips to count. I also love being part of a Search & Rescue team, one of the most rewarding things ever. Sometimes the stories don't have happy endings, but it's sure a great feeling when they do.
