The LED light is a compactable lantern that doubles as a flashlight and runs on the intriguing NoPoPo battery, which recharges using a variety of liquids including urine, water, soda and beer. But why would you waste good water, soda and beer when you could drink that down and then make use of otherwise useless urine? 

Unfortunately, you can't simply throw the battery into your stream, but need a syringe to inject the liquid into the battery. Kind of gross, but since the NoPoPo can only be recharged 4 times, it's better-suited for use as an emergency light anyway. And people do far worse things with pee in emergencies.
