Swiss Army Camper

created at: 2009-05-20

Man, it seems that Swiss Army manufacturers have their hands in just about everything these days.  This camping trailer is a coordinated effort between Victorinox and Airstream in recognition of Victorinox's 125th anniversary. You'd have figured they'd just issue a knife with some new, useless gadgets on it, but I guess a camping trailer brings a bit more impact. I'm not sure if this camper has anything over other campers on the market outside of a really fake looking mountain reflection on the windshield (is it hovering at 14,000 feet ?), but it sure looks nice, and there's only 125 of them being produced. It also comes standard with a selection of Victorinox time pieces, Swiss Army knives and cutlery. It costs $59,000, so this will probably be the last most of us will ever see of it. via DVICE

I want one.

Actually, regular old Airstreams are really expensive too. They're anywhere between 2 to 3 times more than other travel trailers--of course those others aren't nearly as fabulous either! ;)
