PB Snowkiting
As fun as skiing and snowboarding are, they can be rather limiting sports. Unless you live in the mountains or near big ski resorts, you probably don't have access to great skiing/riding, and unless you have a big vacation fund you may not be able to afford numerous trips to destination resorts. If this is the case, snow can be a gloomy annoyance and winter can be a long, cold, dull season.
Luckily, ingenuity is always at work and fun-seekers are always seeking new things to do. If you happen to live somewhere that receives a lot of snowfall but doesn't lie in the mountains, consider getting out and snowkiting this winter. Snowkiting is much less geographically-biased than skiing/snowboarding and really just requires an open snow-covered field and some wind. Harness yourself to a kite and let the wind power you across that fresh powder. Snowkiters have been known to reach speeds over 50 MPH and catch ridiculous air. The sport is just as adrenaline-infused as its gravity based cousins and could provide many winters of thrills.
